Agbor, Nigeria

Written by: "Peter van den Berg"
31 October 2007

Steeped in the occult and bound by witchcraft, theancient, rural city of Agbor has been reigned over by kings for generations. In unprecedented visits to the palaces of three local kings one after the other, Bonnke was introduced to dozens of chiefs and local rulers, and the Gospel message was welcomed. Before rulers of ancient kingdoms, the Name of Jesus, the majesty and authority of the true King of Kings and the Lord of Lords was proclaimed.

Signs and Wonders

Each night, the crowd was enthralled by the stream of healing testimonies presented on the crusade platform. Just as the Bible declares, after the preaching of the Word and prayer for the sick, signs and wonders followed. In pockets across the huge field, joyous praise erupted as crutches were raised, the blind received their sight, and the deaf began to hear. It was a practical demonstration of the faithfulness of God to His people.
