Good News Singapore

Written by: CfaN SEA

Good News Singapore opened on Friday night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium(SIS). The first night saw the stadium packed with over 11,000 people, including visitors who had flown in from neighbouring regions like China, Thailand and Indonesia.

Though the event began at 7.30pm a crowd had started queuing as early as 12pm, many withstanding the downpour, with children and elderly in tow.

After a powerful time of worship Evangelist Bonnke introduced his co-evangelist Evangelist Daniel Kolenda. Evangelist Kolenda told of how God had raised his great-grandfather, Paul, from the dead because Paul's father would not stop praying till he received an answer from God. Daniel shared about how God has intended that Jesus' death on the cross would give us power to live life free from bondage and sickness.

Evangelist Bonnke went on to share that God wants not only to save us, but to set us completely free. "Today is the day of salvation! The border of eternity is never ahead of you, it is now!" When he made the call, many people left their seats, with some running down to the front to receive Jesus into their lives.

During prayer for the sick Bonnke called out various conditions such as stroke, blindness, arthritis, cancers and binding fear. Inviting people to lay hands on themselves and believe that Jesus would touch them the auditorium was filled with a rush of voices, and a tangible sense of God's presence intensified as people began to pray in expectation.

Many came forward during the testimony time to declare the healing touch of Jesus. The first on stage was a boy who had suffered a stroke. Doctors told him he would not be able to move his right set of toes, but the boy was healed tonight, and was able to move his toes on stage for all to see. A lady in the fourth stage of lung cancer came on stage to testify that she now could breathe well. A teenager who could not bend for three years due to a curvature in her spine was healed. The crowd cheered as she bent over and touched her toes. Another lady told us about a relapse of a condition she had in the forth stage and how it has been attacking her lungs and affected her ability to walk. Doctors told her she only had a few more months to live, but she was able to walk onto stage on her own with relative ease and without her breathing support. A man who could only lift his hands up to head level because of an accident a few years ago was now able to fully rotate both his arms.

Jesus heals today!
